At first Jóhann Bluevacation's CEO and co-founder was established by him and his cousin Bjarni and their wives, Ellý and Katrín. Jóhann started building the cabins in 2016 hiring his parents in law, Guðrún and Gústi, as the first employees. Both of them worked on the buildings and Guðrún also took great care of the workers by cooking delicious meals and serving great caterings on the coffee breaks. Staying the first year in containers for sleeping, dining and storing tools. And the whole families helped on the projects. Even Jóhann's daughter, Ína, became the first hotel manager when we had built our 40 rooms hotel, adding it to 12 cabins. Now one of our first employees that is non-family related, Tereza Brabencova hired in 2018, is our hotel manager.
